The Habitat Conservation Area (HCA) is a 23 acre site in Wascana Centre that has been set aside for wildlife. The area was formerly owned by a number of private landowners but was amalgamated into the HCA in the 1970’s. For the last 50 years this area has not been manicured or managed in the same manner as the rest of the Centre. It provides valuable habitat for various mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and plants. This location is open to the public year round
