The staff and students at Miller have started a Green Garden Learning Space adjacent to their cafeteria. The space includes a native plant garden, fall-harvesting vegetable garden, a compost, a sitting area for students and staff, and student artwork.
This new garden space incorporates all grades and many of the subject areas at Miller High School, including science, cooking and practical and applied arts. The space is also being shared by other community partnerships, such as the occupants at Broadway Terrace Care Community Home. This project is introducing new learning and sharing opportunities for all involved.
Thank you so much for awarding us with this grant. We are very excited to see this project coming to life, and we were able to with your help.
We appreciate your generosity!
