Paddle Canada Lake Canoe Course 2022
Paddle Canada instructors will provide participants the opportunity to become certified in introductory, intermediate or advanced skill levels, and will provide instruction in both tandem and solo paddling. Participants are also welcome to attend the workshop with the intent of improving their skills without certification.
SaskOutdoors is offering a Paddle Canada Lake Canoe Skills (flat water) Certification Course.
Paddle Canada instructors will provide participants the opportunity to become certified in introductory, intermediate or advanced skill levels, and will provide instruction in both tandem and solo paddling. Participants are also welcome to attend the workshop with the intent of improving their skills without seeking certification. Intermediate Tandem & Solo levels are recommended by many school divisions for those who intend to lead students in waterfront programs. This course will emphasize boat control and the necessary skills and knowledge needed to be safe and have fun while on the water.
Location: Saskatoon at Erindale Lake in John Avant Park near the corner of Kenderdine and Kerr Road (just off McOrmond Road) in Saskatoon. John Avant Park has no facilities and the nearest public washrooms are at the fast food outlets that are about a five minute drive.
Canoes, paddles and PFDs are included however we encourage participants to bring their own PFD due to Covid.
Accommodations and meals are not included in this course package, and will be left to individual participants to arrange.
