Looking for practical tools for teaching out on the land? SaskOutdoors is hosting a fun and practical training session aimed at introducing educators to the interdisciplinary Below Zero Activity Guide.

The Below Zero guide (included in the price) is an educational program designed to promote understanding of wildlife under winter conditions featuring 46 complete lesson plans that can each be adapted for any age, grade or subject.

Participants will engage in 2 online learning sessions and have the Below Zero Activity Guide mailed to them. Don't fret about having to sit in front of a screen.  There will be opportunties for movement, nature and collaboration.

Dates: Monday November 7 AND Monday November 14 7-9pm *Participants must attend BOTH LIVE sessions

Cost $65/member and $75/non member

About Your Instructor:

Zoe Arnold grew up on Treaty 6 territory in Saskatoon. She can usually be found outdoors in all seasons enjoying gardening, hiking, and cross country skiing. She especially loves winter and spending time out in the snow! Her professional experience and passion lies in play-based education and outdoor experiential learning. She works as the Lead Educator with Wildernook Fresh Air Learning in Saskatoon. She holds an honours degree in Biology from the U of S, a B.Ed. from Queen’s University, and a certificate in Forest School Education (UK). Zoe has previously worked with organizations specializing in conservation, urban agriculture, outdoor education, and environmental initiatives.
