Where do voles find shelter as the temperature dips? Are long johns and snow all that different? Can we really gather tea leaves this late in the year?
Bring your kids, your coffee-row partner, or your camera and come celebrate these gorgeous shifting seasons with us!
10:00 am Join us for an all-ages-friendly scavenger hunt and light-hike to uncover the curiosities of the in-between season in the boreal forest.
12:00 pm Who doesn't love smokies over a campfire?
Warm up with a fire-side lunch and hot drinks, compliments of SaskOutdoors. Bannock, smokies, hot chocolate, tea, s'mores will be served (vegetarian options available - please let us know when you register)
Please bring a mug and register ahead to help us with food estimates.
1:15 pm When ice crystals sparkle in the sky, Sundogs shine!
Meet a yard full of sled dogs for 'Puppy Camp.' Find out the many ways we can learn from them about winter in the boreal forest. Expect hands-on activities and playful learning!
Dress warmly, we're spending this day outside!
