Basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid that covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. Course also offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training. Suitable for those who work or live in remote locations or who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts.

Saturday September 14 8am-5pm

Sunday September 15 8am-5pm

Location: Lumsden Beach Camp

20 hours of instruction

3-year certification in Wilderness & Remote First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED

Instructor: Colin Frey

Minimum: 6 participants Maximum: 10 participants.

$335 for SaskOutdoors Members

$355 for non members

Please be aware that there is a significant outside component to Wilderness First Aid so expect to spend time outdoors during the course.

The minimum age is 16 years. No previous first aid certification is required. 

Accommodations and food are on your own.  Cabins/tenting space can be rented at Lumsden Beach Camp for $30/night.  You can sign up when you register for the course.
