Bring migratory bird education and wildlife conservation to life in your school or community! Flying WILD is an interactive, inquiry-based professional development workshop designed specifically for educators, drawing from the internationally recognized Project WILD curriculum. Guided by a trained SaskOutdoors facilitator, this virtual training equips teachers with hands-on lesson plans, science activities, and step-by-step strategies to teach K–12 students about avian ecology, bird identification, habitat conservation, and school-wide bird festivals.

Appropriate for:

Audience: K–12 classroom teachers, pre-service teachers, outdoor educators, ECE professionals, non-formal educators, and youth group leaders.

Format: Virtual evening sessions accessible from anywhere in Saskatchewan.

Goals: Educators seeking practical, hands-on strategies to integrate outdoor education, citizen science, and avian conservation into their teaching practice.
