Nature Play Day Call for Proposals Extended to September 15

Extended to September 15

July 7, 2020

SaskOutdoors is accepting proposals for the delivery of one day Nature Play Days.  The idea of these days is to provide a loosely facilitated experience for people of all ages and abilities to connect with nature and spend time outside.  Five proposals will be accepted with the intention of spreading these events across Saskatchewan.  Nature Play Days must take place between September 2020-March 2021.   The deadline for submitting proposals is August 31, 2020.

The specific content, length, location and format is up to the facilitator in conjunction with SaskOutdoors.  These events will be free for participants (but preregistration will be required). SaskOutdoors has received a grant from the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association to provide an honorarium to facilitators and locations hosting Nature Play Days.

SaskOutdoors will manage the registration process, promotion, financial matters and carry appropriate participant insurance.  The facilitator will be required to carry personal insurance.

The facilitator will provide a description of the workshop, the location, make all logistical arrangements for the location, answer participant questions related to content (SaskOutdoors can answer registration related questions), and submit an invoice to SaskOutdoors at the conclusion of the event.  All public health guidelines must be followed and these events may be cancelled at any time due to the evolving pandemic situation.  The group size will be set in consultation with SaskOutdoors and the facilitator.

To submit a proposal, please email a brief summary of your vision for a Nature Play Day including location, activities, your experience, how your vision accommodates people of all ages and abilities, along with the total price for your services on or before August 31, 2020.
