Create Outdoor Magic for Children: Lend an Experience!

At SaskOutdoors, we see firsthand how outdoor experiences positively impact children. A moment of wonder on a trail, learning to paddle for the first time, making fire in the winter, noticing a bird they’ve never seen before… these moments change kids. They build confidence, connection, resilience, and a lifelong relationship with the land.

This is why the majority of our SaskOutdoors Grant Program funding is directed toward children’s outdoor learning experiences. And it’s why we’re reaching out to you today.

In March 2026, we’re launching our first-ever SaskOutdoors Experience Auction (bidding between March 1st and 15th), a fundraiser built around experiences, not things. We hope to showcase the incredible outdoor educators, knowledge keepers, and adventure leaders across Saskatchewan by offering unique experiences that families, educators, and community members can bid on.

Every dollar raised will go directly to helping more children access meaningful, land-based, and nature-connected programs across the province.

We Would Be Honoured to Feature You

You are someone who helps people experience the outdoors with joy, curiosity, and respect. If you’re willing, we would deeply appreciate a donation of an experience that bidders can take part in between March 16, 2026 and January 31, 2027.

Experiences can be simple or elaborate. What matters is the connection they foster.

To help us promote your contribution, we would need:

  • Suitable age range
  • Location
  • Required equipment (that participants need)
  • Length of the experience
  • Number of participants
  • Whether children can attend without a parent (and supervision requirements)
  • Season or available dates
  • Your insurance coverage information (if applicable)
  • Estimated value
  • Booking details & contact information
  • Your logo
  • A short description
  • A photo for promotion

How We Will Recognize You

Every donated experience will be promoted through our communications channels, including:

  • Two months in our newsletters
  • A listing on our website
  • A dedicated auction email to our network
  • A dedicated social media highlight
  • Recognition at our AGM
  • A post-event shout-out after we receive photos and a short summary

By donating an experience, you’re not just supporting a fundraiser, you’re helping create more moments where children feel the cold of the winter air on their cheeks, hear the crunch of leaves under their boots, learn from the land, and see themselves as part of something bigger. Please submit donations by February 27th, 2026.
