Explore the effects of sunlight by using natural objects to create prints or outlines on paper or the ground. This activity encourages observation, creativity, and experimentation while connecting children to the sun and its energy.
What you do:
- Collect leaves, flowers, sticks, or other natural objects.
- Place the objects on paper, fabric, or a flat surface outside in direct sunlight.
- Observe the shadows and outlines created by the sunlight.
- Optional: Trace the shadows with pencils, chalk, or natural pigments.
- Experiment with moving the objects or coming back at different times of day to see how shadows change.

Intellectual- learn about light, shadow, and time of day
Emotional- encourages curiosity, focus, and creativity.
Spiritual- fosters connection to the sun and awareness of natural rhythms and cycles.
