  2. Go Searching: Take your time to carefully observe your surroundings. Lichens can be found on rocks, trees, soil, and even buildings. Look closely at different surfaces and textures. Use your field guide and magnifying lens to identify the lichens you encounter. Pay attention to characteristics such as color, shape, texture, and substrate.
  3. Continue Learning: Lichenology is a fascinating field with much to explore. Keep learning about lichens and their ecological importance, and continue to enjoy your lichen hunting adventures in Saskatchewan!
