Stephen Froese

Stephen is an alternative education teacher in Estevan for the SouthEast Cornerstone Public School Division where he teaches at risk youth at the secondary level.  Stephen grew up on the Niagara River at Queenston, Ontario, where the portage begins to by-pass Niagara Falls and where the US invaded Canada in 1812.  He studied history and is following in the steps of his father who introduced him and his brother to a connection with nature through the eyes of history.  Their father fed them a steady diet of fishing, camping, canoeing and hiking which Stephen has carried on his travels throughout Canada and abroad.  The “witching hour” of dusk before dark is his favorite time to be on a river or outside on a trail and he loves being at fireside after dark.  Life is one big university and SaskOutdoors is Stephen’s current course of study!
