Nature Grandparenting Program: Share Your Spring
May 1, 2018 - Jun 19, 2018
Witness seasonal changes in nature with your grandchild this Spring.
This Spring SaskOutdoors is again offering a unique intergenerational nature program in Saskatoon. The Nature Grandparenting program is designed for grandparents to experience nature with their grandchild (3-5 years old) in Saskatoon's Gabriel Dumont Park. Many grandparents are in an ideal position to act as a nature mentor in the lives of their grandchildren. With practical ideas and age-appropriate activities shared each week, grandparents will have fun weaving a connection to nature into the special relationship they have with their grandchild. This program will be facilitated by Wildernook Fresh Air Learning.
Participants: Grandparent and grandchild (ages 3-5) pairs. If you have two grandchildren you would like to bring please e-mail Jana@wildernook.com to discuss the options.
Dates: Tuesdays from May 1 - June 19 (8 sessions). June 26 is a weather make up day if needed.
Times: The program is running 2 groups. The first group will run from 9:30 - 10:40 am and the second group will run from 11:00 am - 12:10 pm.
Location: Saskatoon's Gabriel Dumont Park. This program takes place outdoors. Participants will need to dress for the weather and should be comfortable being active outdoors for an hour. Public washrooms are available on site for use.
Cost: The cost for SaskOutdoors Members is $90.00/pair and the cost for Non-Members is $110.00/pair for 8 sessions. You can learn more about a SaskOutdoors membership here.
