Geared towards children aged 6-12. An adult must attend with children. You must register ALL children attending (even if they are younger than 6).

An outdoor education program where you can learn about science and learn a bit of French as well while participating in hands-on learning activities! Come and safely meet other at home learners including e-school and homeschool learners! Everyone is welcome!

Location for Wednesday November 4th and November 18th (no session on Remembrance Day): Victoria Park (park right in downtown Regina)

Please note: the November 4th program will be THE SAME as the November 18th program.  We will visit a new location on November 25th! Please only sign up for one session as we have a tonne of families interested in this program and we want as many as possible to be able to participate.

November 18 Times: 1:00-2:30pm and 2:30-4:00pm
(Please note the time change and select only one time)

On November 4th and November 18th we’ll learn all about birds - what birds make Regina home in the winter (100 different species!), a brief introduction to bird watching, how you can support birds during our harsh Saskatchewan winter, how humans affect birds (bird strikes), what you can do to help and you'll get to make your very own bird feeder!

We'll also provide you with bird colouring sheets, Project FeederWatch information as well as apps and online resources about learning to bird watch and the human impact on bird populations.

Cancelled for November 18

Registration is limited and upon arrival all family groups will be rotated between stations to ensure adequate physical distancing and space.

When registering you must agree to the following: "I will follow the COVID 19 health and safety guidelines which include mandatory masking for children 6 years and older (masking is highly recommended for those younger than 6 but not mandatory), hand sanitizing as necessary, and practicing social distancing of 6 feet. Masks and alcohol based hand sanitizer will be provided by the event organizers. Please bring your own if you have them."
