Get Outside! Kids Club

Please join Nature Regina, Nature Saskatchewan and SaskOutdoors presenting “Get Outside! Kids Club”.

The Get Outside! Kids Club will happen every Wednesday. Advanced registration is required. We will be repeating the same session at the same location two weeks in a row to accommodate more family groups.

Geared towards children aged 6-12. An adult must attend with children. You must register ALL children attending (even if they are younger than 6).

An outdoor education program where you can learn about science and learn a bit of French as well while participating in hands-on learning activities! Come and safely meet other at home learners including distance, e-school and homeschool learners!

Location for Wednesday, January 13th and Wednesday, January 20th: beside the Saskatchewan Science Centre
(we will use Wednesday, January 27th as a backup date in case we have to cancel one of these sessions due to inclement weather)

Please note: the January 13th program will be THE SAME as the January 20th program.  We will visit a new location on Wednesday, February 3rd! Please only sign up for one session as we have a tonne of families interested in this program and we want as many as possible to be able to participate.

You will have the choice to learn how to cross country ski with an instructor and equipment from the Regina Ski Club or you can participate in 3 fun outdoor activities with a hike leader.

On January 13th and January 20th we’ll learn all about the area by the Saskatchewan Science Centre – we’ll learn how to cross country ski OR discover a beaver lodge, a secret path to a bird habitat and the plants and birds that make this area home.

Cabela's has provided us with ice fishing tents and heaters plus hand and foot warmers as well as extra outdoor equipment like snow pants, hats, gloves and neck warmers. So, we'll have a great place to stay warm as we have our outdoor adventure!

We consulted with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and will be maintaining group sizes of a maximum of 10 people.
