Get Outside! Kids Club
Nov 25, 2020 - Dec 2, 2020
Please join Nature Regina, Nature Saskatchewan and SaskOutdoors presenting “Get Outside! Kids Club”.
The Get Outside! Kids Club will happen every Wednesday. Advanced registration is required. We will be repeating the same session at the same location two weeks in a row to accommodate more family groups.
Geared towards children aged 6-12. An adult must attend with children. You must register ALL children attending (even if they are younger than 6).
An outdoor education program where you can learn about science and learn a bit of French as well while participating in hands-on learning activities! Come and safely meet other at home learners including distance, e-school and homeschool learners!
Location for Wednesday November 25th and December 2nd: A.E. Wilson Park
Please note: the November 25th program will be THE SAME as the December 2nd program. We will visit a new location in the new year! Please only sign up for one session as we have a tonne of families interested in this program and we want as many as possible to be able to participate.
This is a 1 to 1 ½ hour guided hike with a trained volunteer. You will be walking the full time. You will be at least a 35 minute walk from your vehicle. Please plan accordingly.
On November 25th and December 2nd we’ll learn all about A.E. Wilson Park – we’ll discover two secret islands in the city, what birds make it home in the winter (30 different species!), what plants help birds out in the winter, what is happening under the ice and discover a beaver lodge (with real live beavers inside)!
Times: Wednesday, November 25th - Registration is closed
We consulted with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and will be maintaining group sizes of a maximum of 15 people.
Wednesday, December 2nd - event is cancelled.
Registration is limited and we are having staggered start times to ensure adequate distancing and space to ensure we are following Public Health Orders.
When registering you must agree to the following: "I will follow the COVID 19 health and safety guidelines which include hand sanitizing as necessary, mandatory masking (even though we are outside) and practicing social distancing of 6 feet. Masks and alcohol based hand sanitizer will be provided by the event organizers. Please bring your own if you have them."
