Family Paddle: Learn to Canoe with Kids (Regina) - Image 1SaskOutdoors and Fresh Air Experience invites families to meet at the Wascana Marina in Regina on August 17th at 2:00 pm for a family paddle. The event will start with a 10-15 minute introduction to paddling with kids, including canoe technique and safety. Once everyone is in their canoes, we will go for a paddle and have some fun. We will return to Wascana Marina by 5:00 p.m.

Fresh Air Experience is generously providing free canoe rentals, paddles and some adult PFDs (see the Equipment section below). Free canoes will be provided by Fresh Air Experience to the first 7 families to register (1 canoe per family). Additional canoe rentals are available from Wascana Marina at a rate of $20/hour (you will need to arrange your own rental).

Fresh Air Experience will be providing limited free canoe rentals on a first come, first serve basis. Participants are encouraged to bring their own canoe, paddles and PFDs if available. Others can rent canoes from the marina (limited numbers are available).

A limited number of adult PFDs are available so participants are encouraged to bring their own.

Available PFDs are one-size-fits-all so families will need to bring lifejackets for their children.

Please note that participants will be required to sign waivers. Participants will also be requested to sign media consent forms to provide permission for photos and video to be taken (it is not required for you to provide permission in order to participate in the event).
Prize Draw

Registrants will be automatically entered into a draw for a chance to win a prizes generously donated by Fresh Air Experience. The prizes will be awarded at the event.
